Scientific Travel Scholarships (merit-based)
The deadline for applications is February 28, 2025. Up to six awards of $500 (US) will be given to individuals based on merit.
Applications will be accepted from Students, Postdoctoral Fellows or Junior Scientists who have registered and have submitted one or more Abstracts for the HA 2025 Conference. The applicant must be the Presenter of the Poster/Short Talk. Priority will be given to individuals whose abstract/poster is chosen for a Short Talk.
All requests to be considered for the award should be submitted via our application form and include the title of the abstract, the applicant’s academic or professional status, and a supporting letter from the applicant’s supervisor. The applicant will also need to upload a copy of their submitted abstract.
Scientific Travel Scholarships (need-based)
In exceptional circumstances, needs-based scholarships may be awarded. The deadline for applications is February 28, 2025.
Applications are open to all attendees with an academic position who submitted one or more Abstracts for the HA 2025 Conference and would be unable to attend without financial assistance. The applicant must be a Presenter of the Poster/Short Talk.
All requests to be considered for the award should be submitted via our application form and include a brief description (less than 500 words) of the financial challenges that would make attendance difficult. Each application will be assessed on an individual basis with the number of awards to be determined by the available budget. If the number of applications exceeds our budget then we will rank based on the quality of the abstract.
Childcare Assistance (need-based)
Financial assistance to defray costs of on-site childcare at HA 2025 may be awarded. The deadline for applications is February 28, 2025.
Applications are open to all attendees with an academic position who will be actively participating in the conference and would be unable to attend without financial assistance for childcare. Applications can be submitted at this link. Include a brief description of how the applicant will participate in the conference and of the childcare needs that would make attendance difficult without this support. Each application will be assessed on an individual basis with the number and value of awards to be determined by the available budget. If the number of applications exceeds our budget then we will rank based on the expected level of participation.
