Below preprints suggest that heparin, but not chondroitin, binds to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. a GAG-binding motif (XBBXBX) is suggested and some modeling presented. This would suggest that interfering with GAG binding may influence virus binding and entry to the cell.

Thanks for your post. Both of these publications are already in the list of "relevant papers" - see 12 and 13. They are certainly very interesting studies.
